Welcome to another round of my adventures in Craft services!
Today I show you the wraps I made for the set of Little Mermaid on Compendium IV, produced by Samantha Jewell, Lindsay Mann, Aliya Tarmo and Justin Simon. It was also directed by my awesomely talented friend Nicholas Humphries, and stars Trevor Gemma! Check out my food (and a couple sneak peak production photos) below!
First up, the veggie wrap. I always struggle when I make a veggie wrap to make something that isn’t too “salady” because I hear that complaint all the time from vegetarians. My sandwiches are usually pretty good, but my wraps could use improvement. Any suggestions you might have are more than welcome in the comment section below!
Baby spinach, arugula, cucumber, tomatoes, shredded carrots, cheese and ranch dressing.
Next up, we have the Wendy’s inspired wrap, the chicken bacon ranch wrap.
I’ve eaten so many of these in the past few months that I thought it was finally time I tried to tackle it myself, and according to Sam Green, they were delicious, so woohoo!
Step 1 : Add your greens. Step 2 : Add your chicken. Cut up into cubes — makes more wraps per breast.
Step 3 : Add a piece of thick cut bacon. / Step 4 : And some diced tomatoes.
Step 5 & 6. Garnish with tons of cheese and ranch. yum yum yum.
Here was one of the bacon free options. Still good, but bacon on a wrap is kind of like the cherry on top of the sundae.
Finally, I made an Italian Deli Pizza wrap.
What makes it Italian Deli? It has prosciutto, genoa salami and spicy pepperoni. Bam.
I suppose I could have used Mozzarella instead of American cheddar to continue with the theme, but since they were served cold, I figured cheddar would add a bit more flavor to the mix. mmmmmmm.
These were also by far the most popular of all the wraps, so that’s exciting news! I love trying out new stuff each time, figuring out what works, and what doesn’t, and so far it’s been an awesome test kitchen experience!
