Hallo loves.
First off. Thank you so very very very much for getting me to 10,000 hits. I can’t quite explain what it means to me
. It’s definitely the encouragement I need to not only keep going with my blog, but expanding my empire
.
I had a really fantastic day today — I covered the base for the gingerbread house, built hills, started work on the trees, the gingerbread men, the roof, some extra snowmen, and finally the path. Check it out.
This was my preliminary sketch. I kind of tossed it to aside when I started actually working on it, and somehow 3/4 of the hills ended up in the spots, and the path is fairly close to the same too.
Gingerbread baked by Marlene’s daughter, decorated by me. Snowmen, by me. (I think I’m gonna have to give the second one a third snowball cause he doesn’t look as cute as I thought he would, he just looks creepy…)
The pile of white was on my desk when I got to work this morning
What a wonderful surprise! I had all of the supplies I could possibly need. Fondant for the very base layer, marshmallows to create hills and to cover the sides, royal icing to bind everything together, and finally coconut to create a snowy effect. I had soooo much fun working on this
So at the end of Day 1, this is what I had. I’m hoping to get a good portion of it done tomorrow before Marlene leaves for vacation
Pictures will follow shortly
.
Well unfortunately my friends this is it for me today! I’m off to celebrate my 10,000th hit by eating my chocolate from my advent calendar and then writing Christmas cards for my friends while watching Jingle All the Way before making more icing for tomorrow. I love Christmas time!!
Anyhow, have a great hump day y’all!
Peace&Love.
P.♥
