About Me

Hello! I’m Patsy Tomkins, and I’m a cross-platform content producer who takes properties from conception to completion across all media. I have a passion for filmmaking, art, food, travel, beaches, writing and just about everything in between.

An Edmonton, Alberta native, I spent several years on the stage performing music and in theatre.  From the day I knew what it was, I had my eyes on Hollywood which led me to Vancouver. My love for performance was complimented by a curiosity of the business side of entertainment and that’s how I found my way to the Entertainment Business Mangement Program at Vancouver Film School where I got the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, learning new skills and meeting amazing people every step of the way.

In my time at VFS I got the chance to explore a number of different avenues which ultimately led me to my dream project, a web-based reality series titled Miles Off Track (MoT).   MoT is targeted to the 18 to 24 year old male and female travel segment who are increasingly recognizing their impact on the environment. The premiere episode of Miles Off Track was nominated for the Public Enlightenment Award at the VFS Impact Awards in January 2011, and the second episode received the same nomination in May 2011.

Since my graduation I’ve spent some time exploring the world of producing comedy, documentary, craft services, catering, painting, wax art work, writing, traveling and on-set photography, trying to learn in as many areas I can.

I’m so lucky to say I’m making my dreams come true every day.
