After graduating from VFS in December 2009, my Program Manager and mentor Bob Woolsey offered me the opportunity of a lifetime : to come and be a line producer on the second season of his webseries, Bob & Andrew. My responsibilities included craft services and catering, assisting with casting extras, location scouting and acquiring, on-set photography, prop acquisition, sourcing crew members for on-location shoots and standing in as an extra whenever needed.
They’ve received a Leo nomination, have been added to the Web Series Channel and have a behind the scenes documentary produced about the show by Redbud films. The boys have also written and produced a feature film, Do Something With Your Life. Oh and they’re my very close friends.
The series also stars a number of gifted actors — many of them graduates from Vancouver Film School’s Acting for Film & Television program. We have Lauren Martin as Lauren, April Green as Amy, Tom Belding as Spencer, Marcel Perro as Roger Standish, Ryan Tapping as Mark Handlebaum, Amber Cella as Dolores and many many more talented folks.
Here’s a little more about Bob & Andrew :
“Andrew and Bob met at the prestigious Vancouver Film School in early 2005. At first, they held a bitter rivalry full of back-room lies and professional misconduct, however a mutual love of justice and hard alcohol turned the two into friends. They have been producing comedy together ever since.” – www.bobandandrew.com/
“Bob, a newly out of the closet gay man, and his buddy Andrew, a hapless and socially awkward writer, navigate the day to day of their twentysomething lives.
In season 1, Bob’s female coworker has a crush on him and he must let her know he’s gay without actually confronting her. Because he hates confrontations. Andrew helps him come up with a number of horribly thought-out plans.
In season 2, Bob and Andrew must come to terms with their disfunctional relationships.” - WebSeriesChannel.com/
“I love Bob & Andrew.” – PatsyTomkins.com/
